Speaker Q&AAll Speakers
Audience Member: How can you foster a vision in a church that can be narrow-minded or visionless? Should you switch churches in that situation?
Audience Member: Do you have other examples of repurposing buildings besides housing? Audience Member: These new visions for church properties sound great in an urban context, but what about rural/suburban congregations located in the middle of nowhere? Audience Member: Is the idea of a holy, sacred sanctuary where God dwells, used only for worship once a week, not relevant or even unscriptural (Acts 17:24)? Should we move away from that concept and rather make multi-use spaces in which we happen to worship once a week? Audience Member: How will ownership and management of your projects work if and when the individual struggling church goes out of business? Audience Member: I love the transportation innovations like the safe parking program in Monrovia. In our work in transportation safety and access, infrastructure and design dominates while support for survivors of collisions is a widespread need. Have the presenters seen faithful innovations or programs working well in that space? Rev. Dr. Patrick Duggan

Audience Member: For accessory dwelling units (ADUs) is there a requirement for owner occupation of any of the dwellings? Audience Member: One audience member in the Seattle area mentioned that they have a Church in their city that's currently in a battle to build Affordable housing.
