CNU-MCC members co-lead an On The Park Bench webinar exploring urbanism and faith on March 7, 2023. The topic was explored through two church property development projects, one a 33 acre project in Charlotte, NC, led by a Black church, on the new light rail line with a lot of potential for positive community impact. The second, an innovative mixed-use incremental development project led by a United Methodist Church on a 23 acre greenfield site in Pike Road, Alabama. Public Square did a very popular article on this project in 2019, and the pastor, Dr. Patrick Quinn, and Nathan Norris who helped design the project, gave a a CNU-MCC hosted talk at CNU27 on its design. This was an opportunity to give an update after the church broke ground on their first building earlier this year.
