 Third Church Charrette image by JJ Zanetta of Depiction Illustration – FOUNDED 2016 – In May 2017, the CNU Members Christian Caucus (CNU-MCC) meet, prayed, and elected its board members. Since then, every month the board has met to work on implementing the vision and goals of the CNU-MCC. The board has finalized the guidelines for membership, created a website, and distributed this newsletter.
The mission of the CNU-MCC is to support CNU by extending the concepts and practices of New Urbanism to the Christian community. CNU-MCC identifies a nexus of overlapping concerns and values that are central to both Christian faith and New Urbanism. They are social justice, creation care/environmental sustainability, and urbanism that begets community wellbeing and serves the common good. CNU-MCC, therefore, prioritizes its work in these areas.
